Anti-Ragging Campus – Deepsikha Nursing Institute

At Deepsikha Nursing Institute, we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all students. Our campus follows a Zero Tolerance Policy on Ragging, ensuring that every student feels protected and comfortable while pursuing their education.

What is Ragging?

Ragging includes any form of physical, mental, verbal, or emotional abuse inflicted by senior students or peer groups on juniors or other students. It is a serious offense that can cause psychological harm and is strictly prohibited as per government and university regulations.

Anti-Ragging Regulations

As per the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC), University Grants Commission (UGC), and Supreme Court of India, ragging in any form is a punishable offense and will lead to strict disciplinary actions, including suspension, expulsion, and legal proceedings.

Any activity that causes harassment, bullying, intimidation, or humiliation of fellow students will be considered ragging and dealt with accordingly.

Strict Disciplinary Actions

Students involved in any ragging-related activity will face immediate action, including:
Expulsion from the institute
Cancellation of admission
Debarred from appearing in examinations
Police complaint & legal proceedings

How We Ensure a Ragging-Free Campus

To maintain a safe and positive environment, we have implemented strict anti-ragging measures:

  • Mandatory Anti-Ragging Affidavit: All students and their parents/guardians must sign an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission.
  • 24×7 Monitoring: The campus and hostel premises are under CCTV surveillance, and any suspicious activities are strictly monitored.
  • Anti-Ragging Committee: A dedicated Anti-Ragging Cell is in place to address complaints and take immediate action against offenders.
  • Awareness Programs: Regular seminars, workshops, and counseling sessions are conducted to educate students about the consequences of ragging.

Together, let’s build a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment at Deepsikha Nursing Institute!
