Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals,families and communities so they may attain ,maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life.Nurses may be differentiated from other health care providers by their approach to patient care,training and scope of practice.Nurses practice in any specialties with differing levels pf prescription authority.Education for the practice of professional nursing demands a substantial knowledge of nursing,drawing the foundation from the knowledge of behaviouraland biological sciences.The nursing component includes lectures, laboratory and clinical courses concentrated in every nursing programme.The nursing courses include coursework relevant to professional practice,delivery of nursing care,systems for care delivery and leadership skill development appropriate to current dynamic and diverse health care settings.clinical courses,offered in both hospital settingsand community,provide students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.Candidates must have passed class 10 + 2 from any recognized board with Physics,Chemistry , Biology and English as ‘compulsory subjects
A minimum of 45% for tho general catogory and 40% for the reserved category is requireto be eligible for admission.
The minimum age requirement is 17 years
