Scholarships for
GNM & B.Sc Nursing Students
Deepsikha Nursing Institute supports students in pursuing their dreams of a career in nursing by providing information on various scholarships and financial aid programs. Eligible students can apply for the following scholarships:
Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for meritorious and financially weaker students who wish to pursue higher education.
Eligibility: Students must have secured at least 60% in the last qualifying exam and belong to a family with an annual income below ₹2.5 lakh.
Benefits: Financial assistance ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹60,000 per year, depending on the course.

Documents Required
Documents to be uploaded for fresh application:
- Mark sheet of Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent (Both sides).
- Mark sheet of last Board/Council/University/College examination (Both sides).
- Admission receipt.
- Income certificate of family (Not Applicable for Kanyashree).
- Domicile certificate as Aadhaar ID/Voter ID/Ration card/Certificate Issued by concerned authority.
- Scanned copy of Bank Passbook (1st Page, containing A/C No. and IFSC).
- Declaration by Head of the Institution regarding the cause of Year Gap. (This option will appear only if applicant selects Year of Qualifying Exam as 2022 or earlier while registration).
2. OASIS Scholarship
The OASIS Scholarship is available for students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in West Bengal.
Eligibility: SC/ST/OBC students with a minimum required percentage in their last examination. Family income limits apply as per the category.
Benefits: Scholarship amounts vary from ₹4,000 to ₹12,000 per year.

Documents Required
Documents to be uploaded for fresh application:
- Domicile certificate of West Bengal state
- SC/ST and OBC certificates are required.
- Mark sheet of previous qualifying examination
- Family income certificate.
- Aadhar Card or any other government proof of ID.
- Passport-size photo of the candidate
- Fee receipt of the institute.
- Bank passbook showing bank name, branch, IFSC code, account number, and beneficiary name.
3. Aikyashree Scholarship
The Aikyashree Scholarship is a government initiative by the West Bengal Minority Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) to support students from minority communities in pursuing professional courses like GNM & B.Sc Nursing.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the Aikyashree Scholarship, students must be permanent residents of West Bengal and belong to a recognized minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi). They must have secured at least 50% marks in their last qualifying examination. Additionally, the annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh. The scholarship is available for students pursuing education in schools, colleges, and professional courses within West Bengal.
Benefits: Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (for technical & professional courses): ₹33,000 per year.

4. Student Credit Card Scheme
The West Bengal Student Credit Card scheme allows students to avail of financial support for their education through a low-interest loan.
Eligibility: Students must be residents of West Bengal and under 40 years of age. Enrolled in any recognized course (including GNM/B.Sc Nursing)
Benefits: Loans of up to ₹10 lakh at a low-interest rate (4%) for higher education, including nursing courses.
